duber dot com: video proposal
Client:
UC Berkeley Summer Sessions
Proposal: To add high-impact full motion video marketing pieces to the Summer Sessions website.
Sample Draft Videos: Click the links provided to see the 30-second samples (or to download the free media players). The movies appear here in various formats (QuickTime and RealVideo) and resolutions to accommodate users on both slower modems and faster connections.
On a 56K modem, the larger quicktime movies should take approximately 6 minutes to download completely and the smaller ones about 90 seconds. During the wait, the movies download "progressively" so that the user doesn't wait until the end to see what is already on its way. On a "broadband" connection (such as cable modem, DSL, ISDN, T1 ) there's virtually no wait at all. The Real Video slide shows will stream even over a modem connection.
Higher quality versions for distribution on CD ROM, videotape, or other media types are also available. We can also add interactivity and further customize your message with additional text, graphics, audio, animation in a full-motion video or slide show format.
Technologies: We took advantage of the high quality video enabled by QuickTime and used Sorensen, QDesignMusic and RealMedia codecs to produce these 30-second proposal pieces.
Software Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Apple Final Cut Pro, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Macromedia SoundEditPro, RealProducer and MediaCleaner.
