Client: Koc University, Istanbul (1999)

Challenge: To deliver training and a series of plenary speeches to an international group of university-level teachers and administrators in the field of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).

Results: Everyone in the English Language Center and at the Instructional Technology Center was extremely motivated and eager to attend the training and conference sessions. Everyone learned a lot and we have continued to advise instructors on an ongoing basis.

Technologies: This was an on-site consultation during which we provided training in Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) technologies to university instructors and administrators of English as a Second/Foreign Language. Training topics included the use of word processing, email, Excel, searching and browsing techniques for the WWW, HTML authoring, multimedia and instructional media production, distance education, online courseware tools, etc.

Software Tools: In addition to the two-week training sessions, we presented 3 plenaries at an international conference on Computer Assisted Language Learning using Adobe Photoshop, Apple QuickTimeVR Authoring Suite, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia SoundEditPro, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, RealProducer.
